Which checks are mandatory and which are advisory?

The audit output is useful, but I could not always tell whether a failed check should block delivery or simply be documented. Is there a recommended way to separate hard gates from review notes?

For a five-minute edit, creating a formal goal feels heavy. For a multi-day refactor it is useful. What threshold are people using so the Skill helps without slowing down ordinary work?

Comparing three directions before coding improved the result

I asked for three clearly different visual directions, chose one, and only then moved into components. The first implementation had fewer generic dashboard patterns and needed much less restyling.

My starting request was simply “get the onboarding update ready for Friday.” The Skill turned that into a deadline, a measurable activation target, and a short list of non-goals. That gave the rest of the session a much clearer boundary.

A shorter goal format would help quick tasks

The full structure is good for long work, but I would also use a compact format with just Objective, Done when, and Out of scope. It would make the Skill easier to reach for during small but ambiguous requests.

Add a short decision log beside open questions

The open-questions section works well during discovery. A small decision log next to it would help readers see which questions were settled, when they changed, and what trade-off was accepted.

Useful for team planning, but ownership was missing

The success criteria were solid, but the first draft did not say who owned the release decision. Adding an explicit owner made the goal usable in a team handoff. I would like ownership to be prompted whenever the request mentions a team.

The non-goals check prevented scope creep

I used the Skill before redesigning a settings page. Calling out billing and account recovery as non-goals stopped the task from turning into a full account-area rewrite. The final acceptance check stayed focused on the original page.
